Building Bridges Through Shared Worship

First Baptist Church FV and First United Methodist Church FV are embarking on a mission to share worship and establish connection beyond our normal walls.  During this time of uncertainty and unrest, we are taking action to do our part to be and build a community.  We hope you join us as we share worship online through Zoom and Live broadcasts and will be as excited to be a part of this venture as we are to present it.

Standing Together to Put Community First

June 21 was the official kickoff to First Baptist Church's partnership with First United Methodist Church to provide a shared worship experience between the two congregations.  FBCFV's Pastor Lowery provided the message for June 21 to FUMCFV's congregation and likewise, FUMCFV's Pastor Nash had a special greeting for the congregation of FBCFV.

We are all excited to come together with messages of unity as we reach across the aisle to spread the Good News of Christ.

The three-step program offers:

Financial assistance to tenants and landlords to cover rent shortfalls resulting from a loss of income through a partnership with Telamon Corporation;

Free legal support through a partnership with Legal Aid of North Carolina for tenants who need a lawyer to negotiate filed evictions with landlords or other legal services; and

Assistance relocating residents whose housing could not be stabilized through steps 1 or 2.

Residents are eligible if:
They are renters legally residing in Wake County;
They have a legally binding NC lease that covers the assistance period;
They have been economically impacted during the COVID-19 pandemic period of March 13 – present, resulting in the loss of income and inability to pay rent; and
